A new façade for 120 year old building in Hamilton’s historic Jamesville neighbourhood.
Once run down, this area is currently undergoing a revitalization fueled by Hamilton’s arts community and independent businesses, and it was a great opportunity to contribute to this rebirth.
This was a collaborative design project with one of the building’s owners who had been particularly inspired by early-20th-century British store fronts after a recent trip to London. We wanted to capture some of the formality and grandeur of those London shops by creating a traffic-stopping design with details that hold your attention.
